FREE CONCERTS AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER
One of the most popular concert series of the summer is Today, the morning program of the television network NBC.
It's called the Citi Music Series and it usually brings together such famous singers and groups that getting to attend is complicated.
- You have all the information on the Today website.
- Concerts take place on Thursday or Friday mornings from May to early September.
- They take place in the Today Plaza, in the southern part of Rockefeller Center, in front of the studios where the program is shot.
- They start at 8 in the morning and are broadcast live on TV. The square fills up quickly, so if you are very interested in a particular group, they recommend arriving around 5 in the morning.
For the most famous bands and singers, people sometimes start queuing at 7pm the day before. Yes, crazy!

FREE CONCERTS IN CENTRAL PARK
Although it is a nerve center throughout the year, in the summer Central Park becomes home to several of the free shows and concerts in New York.
GOOD MORNING AMERICA CONCERTS
The concert series on Good Morning America, the morning show on the ABC television network, is known as the GMA Concert Series.
- You will find all the information on the Central Park official website.
- Concerts take place on Friday mornings at Rumsey Playfield, on the east side of the park, at 71-72nd Street.
- They start from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning. The doors of the enclosure open at 6:00 in the morning.
- The concerts are free, but for some you have to request a ticket in advance through the website they indicate. Tickets are usually available a week before the concert.
THE SUMMERSTAGE CONCERTS
Another series of concerts that takes place in Central Park in the summer and that brings together thousands of New Yorkers is Summerstage.
- You have the program on the Summerstage website.
- Concerts take place from June to September at the Rumsey Playfield, in the east of the park. There are also some concerts in other places in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
- Although most Summerstage concerts are free, some are paid.

FREE CONCERTS IN BRYANT PARK

Brooklyn also has its share of music open to everyone: the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn.

- The concerts take place in Prospect Park, the green lung of Brooklyn, at the Lena Horne Bandshell.

The Hudson Yards neighborhood is another place that offers free concerts in New York in the summer.
- You'll find the schedule on the Hudson Yards website.
- The concerts are free and take place on Wednesdays in June and July in the neighborhood square, next to the Vessel and the shopping center.
- You do not need a ticket to attend.
- In the square there are food and drink options and, if not, you can eat in one of the restaurants in the shopping center or in the Little Spain market.
